Trust in Who You Were Born to Be
By Niaby Codd
Trust is a process that takes time to master. It is a process that opens us up to much turbulence along the way as we learn to master the ebbs and flows of life, of love, of grief and of pain. It is a process that sees us swimming in the depths of the ocean and flying high on the wings of a dove. That sees us falling to our knees and soaring to great heights. Living life on the edge and pulling ourselves into serenity. Gaining great wisdom and acting like a fool. Feeling rich and then feeling poor. But through every turbulent motion that one is forced to push through, so too does one gain great strength, wisdom and clarity as one rides the waves of the ocean that is life.
Life, one of the great mysteries that sparks much debate and intrigue. Life, a gift so precious yet taken for granted in many a moment. The gift of one’s soul to be able to express itself fully, in all of its entirety and all of its beauty. The gift of love as one connects to all that is real and all that is not. The gift of beauty as one battles through lies, hate and deceit to see the truth beneath the lies. The gift of honour as one invites dishonour and shame into their life, only to learn that their soul asks them to be true. The gift of power as one gives their power away, only to discover that their power resides within them and can be taken back at any moment. The gift of truth as one rises through the lies only to see that they carried truth within them all along. The gift of God as one dismisses all that they have been taught only to discover that they are God, in all of their beauty and all of their wisdom and all of their power and all of their truth.
It is through this journey that we call life that we learn to trust in our own soul. That we learn to trust in our own power, our own wisdom, our own truth. It is through this journey that we call life that we learn to dismiss all that we have been taught in favour of our inner wisdom and truth. It is through this journey that we call life that we learn to trust in life and all that it brings us as it slowly moves us back to that place of knowing, that place of truth. It is through this journey that we call life that we learn to be us in all of our glory and all of our beauty. It is through this journey that we call life that we learn to be God by expressing the entirety of our soul as it gently guides the way.
It is through this journey that we call life that we learn to be love and to be truth. It is through this journey that we call life that we learn to be free as we slowly, slowly, step by step cut away all that would hold us back on our road to freedom. It is through this journey that we call life that we learn to be us.
And as we slowly, slowly, step by step, learn to step into the true power of who we are, so to do we slowly, slowly, step by step take back all that has been taken from us on this journey. So too do we learn to heal all that has left us broken, destitute and poor. So too do we learn that the growth that has come from such destitution is the gift of our soul as it asks us to recognise who we truly are, in all of our glory and all of our beauty. In all of our power and all of our truth. In all of our love and all of our wisdom. So too do we recognise that we are love, that we are truth and that we are God, in all of its greatness and all of its power. So too do we recognise that we are all one.
And as we learn to trust in all that we are and all that we can be, so too do we learn to trust in this process that we call life. So too do we learn to trust in the ebbs and the flows, the highs and the lows, the grief and the pain. So to do we learn to trust in all that has rocked us but never stopped us. In all that has hurt us but never broken us. In all that was given that showed us the way. In all that did come, that for a time may have made us feel numb, but which eventually reminded us how to feel again, how to love again, how to be again. Which eventually showed us the power of our souls, the power of our hearts as we once again reunited ourselves with all that we can be and all that we are. Which once again allowed us to swim in the power of the ocean without being engulfed by the turbulence of this journey that we call life. Without being shadowed by the storms which may have come but which eventually led us into feeling the sun shine on our hearts and on our minds as we recognise the true power of who we are. As we recognise that love resides within us even when we feel hate. As we recognise that trust resides within us even when we feel fear. As we recognise that joy resides within us even when we feel pain. As we recognise that God resides within us even when we feel darkness. As we recognise that truth resides within us even when hear lies. As we recognise that we are whole even when we feel broken. As we recognise that passion resides within us even when we feel bored. As we recognise that divinity resides within us even when we feel separated. As we recognise that source resides within us even when we feel alone. As we recognise that hope resides within us, even when we feel none. As we recognise that power resides within us even when we have given it away. As we recognise that peace resides within us even when we feel at war. As we recognise that change resides within us even when feel stuck. As we recognise that light resides within us even when we feel lost. As we recognise that guidance resides within us even when we feel destitute. As we recognise that honour resides within us even when we feel nothing. As we recognise that we are holy, even when we feel blackened. As we recognise that we are on this journey that we call life in order to reconnect with all that we are and all that we can be. As we recognise that we are on this journey that we call life in order to experience ourselves in every aspect that we can be, in all of our entirety. As we recognise that we are on this journey called life to be who we are…
